Sahara Reporters has learned that the Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu has barricaded himself in the master bedroom of his Ogun State residence, as Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency agents surround his home. Mr. Kashamu was said to have spoken briefly with a Sahara Reporters’ correspondent and said that he would kill himself if anyone entered his home.
According to SR, the stand-off has been ongoing for several hours and Mr. Kashamu has not returned SR’s calls as of recent minutes.” See below for more tweets:
