Presidential Panel of Inquiry which was set up to investigate the suspended acting Chairman of Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, submitted its report to the President, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, according to reports.

Retired Justice Ayo Salami who chaired the Panel submitted the report to Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Panel was set up in July this year to investigate various allegations of improprieties against Magu, a senior police officer.

Recall that the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar Malami wrote a petition against the senior police officer alleging series of wrongdoing.

Although his lawyer participated at the hearing, but Mr. Magu complained bitterly that he was not given a fair hearing because he wanted to be physically present at every sitting of the Panel.
