Reports coming in say that, in the early hours of Tuesday, gunmen have attacked the Otuoke country home of former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
It could not be immediately confirmed whether Jonathan or any member of his family was hurt in the armed invasion.
But an account have it that he managed to escape unhurt in the gun attack, which some community persons are suspecting was “an assassination attempt” on the former president.
However, one of the security operatives guarding the residence was feared dead in the attack.
It is not immediately known why the home of a former Nigerian leader will be attacked by gunmen at this time of the year.
