A well-known Nigerian actress, Omobewaji Asake Richards-Oyediji, simply known as Mo Bewa, has claimed that it is very difficult for actresses to find real love since certain people in Nigerian society and culture think that acting is not a noble profession.
Mo Bewa made this disclosure in a recent, exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper.
Although the curvy model acknowledges that it can be difficult for an actor to find true love, she cannot be with someone who would view her negatively because of her profession.
She expressed regret that some males are adopting the viewpoint that acting is not a respectable career for women. She asserted that she thinks the lady would understand her when she finds the appropriate man.
“Yes, it is tough for actresses to find love. Popular culture and society, in general, make some people feel that being an actress in Nigeria is not a noble job. Unfortunately, most men are buying into that too. However, I believe that when one finds one’s man, he will understand. I cannot be with a man who would judge me because of my work.” She stated.
