A video showing a crowd in front of the Central Bank of Nigeria annex office in Kaduna state as they attempt to deposit their old N500 and N1000 notes has made the rounds on social media.
On Thursday, February 16, President Buhari in a nationwide broadcast extended the validity of the old N200 notes till April 10 and that the old N500 and N1000 notes cease to be legal tender.
Like the CBN advised in the past, the President stated that anyone with the old Naira notes should proceed to CBN offices to deposit them.
As said above, a video shared online shows a crowd in front of the CBN annex in Kaduna state attempting to deposit the old Naira notes.

The Queue at CBN Kaduna is madness.
People with bags and sacs of money.
Apparently no one wants to listen to El Rufai and keep using the old notes. pic.twitter.com/3V0KcMCTLx
