I warned Nigerians –Fayose laments as petrol price increases to N151.56 per litre in Nigeria

News

Former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the increment of fuel price in Nigeria which has been confirmed in an internal memo issued by the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company.

It was reported earlier that the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol has been increased to N151.56 per litre, effective from today September 2, 2020.

Reacting to this, Fayose recalled how he warned Nigerians. The former Governor who queried the rationale for the increase, said the decision was taken when other countries are adopting measures to reduce the effects of COVID-19 lockdown on their citizens.

He tweeted; “Petrol is now N151.56. The increment was made when other countries are adopting measures to reduce the effects of COVID-19 lock down on their citizens. Just in case those who led the Save Nigeria protests across Nigeria during PDP govt of Jonathan are not aware. I warned.
