Nasir El-Rufai: The perception and the reality

Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has said that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, disagreed with his opinion about old people in politics.

The governor spoke in Hausa language in a video clip that has since gone viral,

The video clip has no date when El-Rufai actually made the statement and it didn’t show where it was made and other details.

However, he opined that old people should thank God for their years and leave politics because they are getting weaker.

El-Rufai said: “When you get old, you give thanks to God and leave politics for others because you are getting weaker.

“That is how I see it, but others didn’t agree.

“Even Asiwaju didn’t agree.

“We even discussed it two days ago, but he refused.”
