Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s former aide, Reno Omokri, has charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Omokri said, the anti-graft agency should investigate Tinubu over the alleged report of bullion vans seen at his Lagos residence, on the eve to the presidential election.
The Jonathan’s former aide made the call while commending the EFCC for releasing the lawyer of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The former Lagos State Governor was accused of distributing money from bullion van at his residence before the presidential election.
Tinubu, while responding during an interactive session with newsmen after he voted at his Unit 047, Ward 3, in Ikeja, said he was neither a government contractor nor a worker with any government parastatal.
Reacting to this, Omokri, in a tweet on Wednesday night wrote: “BREAKING NEWS: @officialEFCC just released @Atiku’s lawyer.
“I commend them and urge Ibrahim Magu and the EFCC to remember that they are a law enforcement body, not an @OfficialAPCNg enforcement body. I eagerly await their investigation of @AsiwajuTinubu’s election bullion vans.”
