Veteran Nigerian actress, Rita Edochie has given her thoughts on the proper way a man intending to be a polygamous husband should go about it.
The beautiful and married actress made it clear that she has never seen where polygamy worked in Igbo land and it is always like going “from frying pan to fire”.
She added that she sees no reason why a Catholic man with a beautiful, well-behaved, fertile and dutiful wife who has borne him children of both genders would go to take a second wife.
However, she said if he must, then he should discuss this first with his wife and seek her “consent and approval” before proceeding to take a second wife.
Indirectly throwing shade, she added: “Polygamy is not for the boys but for the men.”
