Adamu Bulkachuwa, the Nigerian Senator representing Bauchi North senatorial district at the National Assembly, has revealed how his wife, Zainab Bulkachuwa helped him and some of his colleagues as President of the Court of Appeal.
Adamu, whose wife was the first female head of Nigeria’s Court of Appeal, revealed this during the just concluded senate valedictory session.
This All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator, is fond of telling other politicians to ‘go to court’ when they lose elections.
Adamu disclosed that he influenced his wife’s decision as head of the Appeal Court and extended same to his colleagues.
The senator said: “Particularly, my wife, whose freedom and independence I encroached upon while she was in office. And she has been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my colleagues.”
Adamu was interrupted by former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan who was also elected on the platform of APC. Lawan interjected, saying “Distinguished, I don’t think this is a good idea going this direction.”
