Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan has received congratulatory message from Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari on his 60th birthday anniversary.
President Buhari who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina, joined members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), professional colleagues, associates of Dr Jonathan, and his family in celebrating the unique history of the Nigerian leader.
He noted that Jonathan, within a short period, rose from being a Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President to becoming Nigeria’s President for six years.
President Buhari prayed that the almighty God will bless Jonathan with good health, wisdom and strength to continue serving the country.
Also, Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki eulogizes Jonathan on the same occasion.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu in Abuja, Saraki lauded the ex-President’s contribution to the progress of democracy and overall development of the country.
He praises Jonathan as a leader whose decision to peacefully exit power following the results of the 2015 presidential election would remain indelible in the annals of the country.
The Senate President prayed that Almighty God should grant Dr. Jonathan excellent health to serve mankind for many more years.
