Gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele lost one his band members, Tunde Oduneye, 39, on Saturday night after one of the trucks conveying their musical instruments back to Ibadan after performing at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Olu Amore, a Commissioner of Police, entered a pot hole along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and swerved off the road into a deep ditch, killing one of the engineering crew aboard while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The deceased who is survived by a wife and a 2 year old child, was confirmed dead at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo state around 11pm on Saturday and was interred in his home town of Ijebu Igbo on Sunday evening. May his soul rest in peace, amen. See photos from the accident below:
