“Go arrest Oyedepo”, Nigerians tell Ogun govt officials after arresting a pastor for having more than 50 members in church

The Ogun state task force this morning shut down the Apostolic church in Sagamu, and arrested the presiding pastor for flouting the order of the state government not to have more than 50 persons in any gathering.

The state governor, Dapo Abiodun, issued the ban as part of measures to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

A twitter user who witnessed the moment the police stormed the church and effected the arrest of the pastor and sealing of the church, shared a video online.

Meanwhile Nigerians are asking why the same task force did not go to Canaan land in Ota where billionaire clergyman, David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, held a service this morning with more than 50 persons allegedly in attendance.
