France beat Nigeria’s Super Falcons 1-0 during the France 2019 Women’s World Cup Group A football match on Monday through a controversial penalty.
4 best 3rd place will qualify for the second round. South Africa and Korea are already out.
Nigerian Super Falcons played very well in the first half of play. They tried in the second half but the award of a controversial penalty and a red card given to Ngozi Ebere affected the Falcons.
In spite of the penalty award and the red card which reduced the Falcons to 10, France could only defeat them with only one goal from the penalty kick. (Photo: Sportsnet)
