It was jubilation in all parts of the Enugu State capital, Nigeria, on Wednesday following the return of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, after an eight-month stay outside the state.
As a result of the June ban on church activities in the ministry, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Rev. Callistus Onaga, transferred Mbaka from the Adoration Ministry Catholic Chaplaincy to the monastery in October 2022.
Thereafter, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was appointed as the Adoration Chaplaincy’s replacement of Mbaka.
However, after about eight months in a monastery to reflect on his past activities, his supporters trooped out in large numbers to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport to receive the returning priest, who became popular for his spiritual works, controversial prophecies and pronouncements.
Mbaka’s supporters marched alongside a vehicle conveying him to Adoration Ground from Akanu Ibiam International Airport.
