Four officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos state police command, have been arrested for extorting N5,000 from a female motorist in the Ajah area of Lagos state, Nigeria.
The officers namely Sgt Ogah Jimmy, Inspt. Kadir Ganiyu, Inspt. Simon Ogwuyi and Spy Akinwumi James, were arrested after the N5000 received was traced to the account of Sgt. Jimmy.
According to the verified Twitter handle of RRS, the officers are currently being detained and will be transferred to the headquarters for trial on Monday September 30.
