Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on the National Assembly to impeach Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over the abuse of the Public Procurement Act in the approval of N5.8billion as intervention funds for the North East in 2017.
Nigeria’s House of Representatives in its investigative report had indicted Osinbajo after its investigation into the fund disbursement.
The former minister, in a tweet described Osinbajo as a cheap crook for giving illegal approval of NEMA funds.
Mr Fani-Kayode called on the DSS to arrest and prosecute the Vice President for alleged stealing and money laundering.
His tweet: “I call on NASS to impeach VP Yemi Osinbajo and on the DSS to arrest and prosecute him for misappropriation of public funds, diversion, money laundering, concealment and stealing.
“Given his illegal approval of 5.8 billion naira to NEMA, I have no doubt that he is a cheap crook.”
