There was a growing anxiety among the friends, family and political associates of the immediate past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, on Thursday as rumours made the round that the ailing ex-Minister had died on Thursday.
The fact that Alison-Madueke is being treated for cancer in the United Kingdom heightened the rumour as many reports on the social media reported her death.
However, her lawyer, Mr. Oscar Onwudiwe, debunked the rumour of the former Minister’s death.
When contacted on the telephone, he said, “It’s not true.”
