Nigerians living in Austria attacked the Nigerian envoy to Austria, in the capital city, Vienna, and it had to take intervention of the Austrian police to quell the angry Nigerian mob.
The date of the attack is not yet clear as some Nigerians say it happened on Wednesday while some say on Thursday October 22.
This video was posted online with Global Reporters’ label as the source but without much text to explain the incident and without giving the name of the Nigerian envoy.
In the video clip, the envoy was safeguarded by the police from the angry mob.
People were heard chanting in the video, “End Buhari ole, end SARS, Buhari should stop killing our people.”
The attack on the Nigerian envoy comes as reprisal attacks continue on government officials and properties following the shooting of Nigerian #endSARS protesters especially at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday.
The Nigerian embassy in Austria or the Nigerian government is yet to officially speak on the attack.
