The Emir of Daura, HRH Dr. Umar Faruq, on Friday morning lost his wife, Hajiya Binta.
The spokesman for Daura Emirate Council, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed her death.
Hajiya Binta, 65, was said to have died of natural causes but the nature or the cause of her death could not be ascertained at the time of this post.
Abdullahi said Hajiya Binta was buried a few hours after her death in Daura.
Hajiya Binta was said to have been survived by six children, among whom is the District Head, Dalhatu Faruq.
Sympathisers had since been paying condolence visits to the Emir over the incident.
