Edo State House of Assembly has on Monday, April 8, 2024, impeached the embattled state deputy governor, Mr. Philip Shaibu.
The impeachment followed the adoption of the report of the seven-man investigative panel set up by the state’s Chief Judge to probe allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
For sometime now, there has been crisis between Mr. Shaibu and his boss, the governor of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, over who will succeed the outgoing governor.
This may have marked the end to the political career of Mr. Shaibu.
