Popular Dugbe Market in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria known as the hub for transport and trading was engulfed by fire.
The firefighters from the Oyo State Fire Service were called to the scene of the incident to put the fire out.
The damage the fire did to the buildings in the market is colossal and may be very difficult to evaluate the quantum of losses occasioned.
As at the time of this report, what led to the fire outbreak is not yet known, although some people said the fire might have started from a bank building within the vicinity of the market.
