Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has on Tuesday, seriously warned against using his name to canvass for votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Buhari said anyone aspiring to occupy a political office must work hard to achieve his goal, instead of dropping his name.
The president spoke at the State House, Abuja when some of his aides presented him a birthday card on his 77th birthday.
He also assured Nigerians that he would guarantee free, fair and credible elections in 2023.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, was also at the event.
