Nothing less than ten corpses got burnt today in an early morning fire that razed the morgue of Anatomy Department of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State.
Spokesperson for Osun Police Command, Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident.
Sources on the campus of the institution told Punch correspondent that the cause of the fire had not been ascertained.
They added that no life was lost in the incident. The corpses that got burnt were said to be kept in the cabin inside the morgue.
Odoro in a chat said 10 dead bodies got burnt, adding that the detectives were already investigating the cause of the incident.
