Pro-democracy group, Concerned Nigerians’ co-convener, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, has been arrested by the police in Abuja, Nigeria. According to reports, Deji is being held at the FCT police command.
Deji Adeyanju and his group started a daily sit-out at the Unity fountain yesterday, demanding the release of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shiites, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
The police reportedly stormed the Unity fountain this morning and threw teargas at the protesters. The officers thereafter picked up Deji Adeyanju and the other leaders of the group.
