Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Umar, has dismissed claims that there are some external forces influencing the trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at the tribunal.
At the resumed hearing of Saraki’s case yesterday May 17th, Danladi said the allegations of bias against Saraki are untrue and unfounded.
He recalled that during the trial of former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, the tribunal was under pressure to convict him but the tribunal did the right thing. He swore that in Saraki’s case, the tribunal would do justice without fear or favor.
