Former Nigerian Minister, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has described as “inappropriate and an insult to Nigerians” the scheduled visit of President Buhari to South Africa today Wednesday October 2.
President Buhari is expected to meet with his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, over the recent Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in his country.
Fani-Kayode says Buhari is not expected to grant Ramaphosa a state visit after his country men killed Nigerians. Reacting to the planned visit on his Twitter handle, he wrote:
“A President does not reward a foreign power that has just slaughtered his citizens with impunity with a state visit.
@MBuhari‘s visit to South Africa is inappropiate and an insult to the Nigerian people. This is yet another 1st in the ignoble hall of infamy and shame for Nigeria.”
