Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will lose control of his government if he sacks Rotimi Amaechi and Babatunde Fashola.

Speaking with Naij, Primate Ayodele said, “Do you know why the government is still holding? God revealed to me that it is Amaechi and Fashola that are holding this government; they are the ones helping Buhari.”

Addressing President Buhari, the clergyman said, “I said it in the papers that despite all, put Fashola and Amaechi in your government. I don’t know them, I have never met them before, I am just saying what God has revealed to me. The moment he removes them, the government will collapse.”

“You know, there are some people you put in the system that will help you. So, he has done the right thing by putting them, that is why we are still moving.”

  1. Wow! I remember a Facebook post asking readers to nominate in order of potential those nominated ministers (pre-appointment) who would prove their worth in the scheme of things. These 2 gentlemen received the highest poll. I feel a sense of foresight and self gratification that these 2 were my primary choice even though I had a form of prejudicial selection in one or more who were known to me personally. At the moment, we can see what these men are doing and a record of their systematic achievement, against the odds. It is great to have selfless and innovative individuals as leaders, just like the president. However, it is not just the leadership that counts, the followership is also primary and integral to any recordable outcome. It is currently a given that even the current administration has its own excesses in terms of corrupt tendencies; for instance, UK diasporans now feel that the immigration service is either faking its inefficiency about non-availability of 32-page passport booklets or deliberately coercing applicants to purchase the 64-page passport so that the service can generate more revenues. Morality and Honesty are those virtues Nigeria lacked and if at this moment in time we are still short-changing our national abroad, same nationals the president consistently inspire to come home, then we are in dire straits. i don’t know the responsible ministry but inavailability of standard issue passport in the diaspora is something that negates the spirit of commendation and positivity that can be accorded the efforts of the administration. ‘To kill a mocking bird’ was what a foreign interest in Nigeria said while discussing some of the prevalent issues of Nigeria. It may be a slow process of repair but some things do not call for depth psychological to be understood, neither do they become beclouded in secrecy to identify what is going on. Why would 32-page passport booklet take several months to be made available to thousands who had paid and been taken through the administrative processing, bearing in mind that as many travelled thousands of miles to the only Centre in the UK, London, as well as those travelling from Europe for same reason. There is a need for an executive decision to be taken so that the responsible agent/agency can be given a timeline to ease the discomfort many are feeling at the moment. The time for complacency is over and we should start doing things in ways that yield satisfactory outcomes.
