Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has finally berated his Service Chiefs over their inability to effectively contain the spate of insecurity across the country.
Buhari said the Security Chiefs appear to be doing their best in curbing the insecurity in the country but that their best is not good enough.
The President also warned that “excuses will no longer be tolerated,” because he expects them to live up to expectations.
The President had earlier met with all Security Chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.), disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of a meeting Buhari had with the security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday.
Monguno quoted Buhari as telling the service chiefs he appointed since 2015 that he expected them to henceforth live up to expectations.
Addressing State House Correspondents in Abuja after the meeting, Monguno said the President was unhappy with the current state of security in Nigeria.
