People should stop referring to Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo as the VP. For now he is no longer the VP. The VP (Vacationing President) is in London!
We are seeing peace return to the Niger Delta. We are seeing action to stop the killings of Christians in Southern Kaduna. We are seeing the Naira appreciate. We are seeing inflation rolling back. We are in no hurry for these positive developments to end. Our Acting President is an Action President.
Both Reno and Cash tend to lean towards ‘flagrant’ divisively toned comments. So, what is Professor’s Osinbajo’s official role, and what is Mr. Buhari’s. We, as a nation note the progression route, progress being achieved and the strata of succession. When a role is temporary, it must be identified as such, until there is a permanent change. There is no need to be a ‘voice of dissent’ or, to rubble – rouse. Nigeria is sufficiently educated, aware, and abhorrent to sycophancy.
Two things have come to the surface out of this intractably long vacation of President Buhari: 1) he should never have been elected president…not necessarily because of his illness but because he has shown that he has no clue of how to govern 2) the good or best leaders in Nigeria are not those noise making politicians. Osinbajo reigns supreme.
