Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari received the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, in the state house, Abuja today August 31.
Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who is also a pastor in RCCG and the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, were also on hand to receive the clergyman in the state house.
Adeboye’s visit comes amidst the controversy generated by the newly signed CAMA law that enables the Federal government to remove and replace the board of trustees of any church.
While some clergymen have thrown their weight behind the new law, others like Bishop David Oyedepo and Apostle Suleman have come out to vehemently oppose it.
Adeboye is yet to publicly comment on the new law, so, his position is unknown at the moment..
