Reports are showing that the list of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees failed to reach the National Assembly on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 as widely expected.
The Senators, who had eagerly awaited the list, adjourned plenary to Tuesday next week. This adjournment may be due to the country’s independence anniversary which comes up tomorrow, October 1.
Senator Dino Melaye said on Wednesday that the list had yet to reach the Senate.
Buhari had consistently promised to unveil members of his cabinet in September and the month of September ends today.
