Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari wore a face mask today July 23, as he arrived in Mali for the ECOWAS peace mission, especially to find a solution to the worsening political crisis in the francophone country.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Nigeria’s Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had recommended the use of face mask while in public as one of the guidelines meant to curtail further spread of the virus.
This would be the first time the President will be wearing a face mask in public since the Coronavirus pandemic started.
In a photograph shared by his personal photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo, on Thursday, the President adorned a white face mask in Bamako, Mali.
Omoboriowo captioned the photograph as “@MBuhari arrives Bamako, Mali for the peace mission by the ECOWAS Head of states. 23rd July, 2020.”
