At a press conference, the United States’ Center for Disease Control (CDC) has just indicated that another person has tested positive to ebola virus in the US.

The Center for Disease Control in the US stated that, this time, it is one of the health professionals, a nurse who had extensive contact with Mr. Thomas Eric Duncan who recently died of ebola that tested positive to the virus.

“The (Ebola treatment) protocols work. … But we know that even a single lapse or breach can result in infection,” Dr. Tom Frieden, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, said on Sunday.

Confirmatory testing will be conducted Sunday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Test results are expected to be announced later in the day.

It will be recalled that Josephus Weeks, a nephew to late Duncan told CNN a few days ago that staff at the Dallas hospital where he was treated “didn’t even give him a chance.”

“Nobody tried to help Eric,” Josephus Weeks said Friday night. “… If they would have given him a chance, he would have fought his way through.”

In an emotional interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Weeks alleged that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital officials “said no to everything” relatives requested and “lied to us the whole time.” He also accused the hospital of giving Duncan inferior treatment because he was poor, had no health insurance and was black.

The hospital, in a press release stated that it gave every treatment required to late Duncan.
