Hundreds of Borno State residents booed President Muhammadu Buhari and his entourage on Wednesday.
After his return from a five-day visit to Ethiopia for an African Union summit, Buhari paid a condolence visit to the northeastern state of Borno, following a Boko Haram attack.
As he moved through town, the people shouted “Ba ma yi, ba ma so” in Hausa vernacular or language.
The translation into English language is “We don’t want, we are not doing.”
As Buhari’s convoy passed, the crowd booed as they waved their hands in rejection.
The president arrived Maiduguri after his arrival from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
