Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate for 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, is in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Nigeria.

Atiku, who was Obasanjo’s vice president between 1999 and 2007 has entered into a closed-door meeting with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

The meeting is being held at the residence of the ex-president within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.

The former Vice President arrived his former boss’ premises at about 1:05pm.

Atiku was accompanied by his campaign Director-General and former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, and Senator Murray Ben-Bruce, Liyel Imoke among others.

Leaders from the Yoruba socio-cultural group,  Afenifere, had earlier visited Obasanjo on Tuesday, allegedly to prepare a soft landing for Atiku in Abeokuta, considering the frosty relationship between him and his host.

From the look of things, Afenifere member, Chief Ayo Adebanjo is there so also is chief Bode George at this meeting.
