Chieftains and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) wearing black clothes staged a protest in Abuja over the outcome of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
The protesting PDP members were led by the party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Atiku Abubakar, the party’s chairman Iyiocha Ayu, Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal and many other PDP leaders.
The protesters took their match to the INEC Headquarters in Abuja where they demanded among other things that the commission should not let the coming governorship and state assembly elections be like the presidential election which was marred with irregularities and rigging.
