APC chieftain gets leave of court to arrest wife

An Ibadan, Oyo state customary court sitting in Mapo, Tuesday, granted leave to the Secretary of the State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Mojeed Olaoya to arrest his estranged wife, Alimot for allegedly flouting the order of the court.

Reports have it that Alimot and her husband had been at loggerheads culminating in the ongoing legal tussle.

The crisis between Olaoya and his estranged wife followed irreconcilable differences over sundry matrimonial and domestic affairs which had defied amicable resolution by their family members.

As a result of the unending disagreement, coupled with the litigation on the matter, Olaoya on Tuesday, sought his wife’s arrest for disobeying a court order on the dissolution of their marriage.

President of the court, Chief Ademola Odunade granted Olaiya’s request to arrest Alimot.

In a suit number 421/2018, the court had, some months ago dissolved the marriage between Olaoya and his estranged wife, Alimot.
