According to TBW, Angelina Jolie just hit the big 4-0, but her birthday celebrations may not have gone as well as expected, thanks to some rumoured problems in her marriage to Brad Pitt. The power couple are said to be facing financial trouble as Brad allegedly fights his own battle with the bottle.
Brad’s Bottle Battle
Everything is not quite as it appears in the Jolie-Pitt household and the grapevine is ripe with gossip about the reported crumbling marriage of our two favourite leading stars. According to Globe magazine, the couple is struggling to make it to their first anniversary and it’s Brad’s drinking issues that are the centre of the problems. A source told Globe: “Some days he opens his first bottle of [hops] right after breakfast, and he just keeps knocking them back all day.” They continued: “After Brad gashed his head by falling up the stairs at their Los Angeles, California home in April, Angie tossed about a dozen bottles of his favourite beverage and told him that she’s banning [it] from the house.”
Angie is Fed up!
This isn’t the first time the Troy actor has been dogged with addiction claims. He once admitted to the Hollywood Reporter that he had a problem with the amount of herbal narcotics he was using and didn’t like the person he’d become because of it. “I was hiding out from the celebrity thing, I was smoking way too much, I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut and I really got irritated with myself,” said Pitt. However, after kicking that bad habit to the curb, is Brad succumbing to yet another vice? CelebrityDirtyLaundry.com reported that if anyone appreciates his struggle, it’s Angie, but she’s not being supportive enough. “We totally get why Angie is fed up with her hubby’s drinking problems if it is at the point that he is falling and getting hurt. But we also think she could be a little more understanding.”
Money Matters
Another massive strain on the otherwise blissful marriage of Brangelina is said to be the couple’s dwindling fortune. It’s hard to imagine that with so much wealth accrued by the superstars that they’d be in any financial difficulty, but according to a British tabloid that’s exactly the case. “Traveling all over the world in private jets and owning multiple mansions is bound to set back Brad and Angelina millions. But despite their big salaries, could their luxurious lifestyle cause the A-listers to be $35 million in debt?” According to the magazine, the Mr & Mrs Smith actors’ homes include a $40 million mansion in Italy, a $60 million chateau in France and a $1.7 million home in Los Angeles.
