The American president, Donald Trump, his wife, Melania Trump have both tested positive to coronavirus.
Earlier on, it was one of his close aides, Ms. Hope Hicks who was reported to have tested positive to the virus.
Trump has been carrying on his activities as if coronavirus means nothing. It is therefore a stunning announcement that he and his wife have tested positive to the dreaded disease.
Reports have it that it was Trump himself who gave out the information through his Twitter handle.
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted shortly before 1 am Friday.
