Saturday night, the Akwa Ibom state governor, Mr Emmanuel Udom hosted a dinner party in Uyo to mark the 32nd Anniversary of the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
Nigerian vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was a special guests of honour at the event. Many PDP governors were in attendance also.
The president, Muhammadu Buhari had made it known earlier on that it is his vice that would be attending the state anniversary ceremony.
To add to that, the president should by now, be on his way to the United States to attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly conference taking place in New York City.
Osinbajo, PDP governors, other dignitaries and their host, governor Udom also attended a thanksgiving service at Ibom Hall Grounds in Uyo, on Sunday morning.
