OndoDecides2020: APC's Akeredolu Massively Wins Polling Unit

The anxiety behind who may be the winner of the Ondo State governorship election among the three top candidates has been put to rest as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announces the result.

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent governor of the state, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared the winner with a total of 292,830 votes.

Mr. Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with a total of 195,791 votes while Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) came third.

The total votes of all the remaining political parties which contested in the election have no significance.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, who declared Akeredolu winner, said he had met all conditions required to be returned as governor-elect for the state.
