Nigeria’s Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate disbandment of the Federal SARS, Special Investigation Panel and Special Tactical Squad.
Adamu who took over from Ibrahim Idris on January 15, announced this on Monday January 21, at his inaugural conference with Commissioners of Police and other senior police officers in Abuja.
Going by the new directive, the FSARS will now be domiciled under the direct supervision of the Commissioners of Police in all the 36 states and the FCT.
