Secretary to Ondo State Government (Ondo SSG), Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde has resigned his appointment from the government of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Abegunde resigned on Monday morning and he confirmed his resignation to newsmen.
“Yes it is true. I have resigned my appointment as Ondo State SSG through a letter this morning. It is true”
The letter titled ‘Letter of Resignation Effective 6th July 2020’ read, “I, Hon. Ifedayo Sunday Abegunde, the Secretary to the State Government of Ondo State hereby tender my letter of resignation.
“I want to thank Mr Governor for giving me the opportunity to serve the Government and people of Ondo State.
“Again, my family and I wish Mr Governor quick recovery.”
The now former SSG added that his next line of actions politically would be communicated within the next 24 hours.
Recall that on June 21, the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
