Abductors of PDP Chairman, son demand 100m ransom

Image result for Damishi Sango photoAbductors of Plateau State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Damishi Sango, have demanded a ransom of N100 million for his release.

The ex-Minister of Sports was kidnapped on Wednesday by unknown gunmen alongside his son, a prominent chieftain of PDP in Plateau State, his driver and others.

Sango was abducted while he was on his way to Abuja for PDP convention scheduled for Saturday, December 9.

The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Plateau State, John Akans told Punch that the kidnappers have contacted the family and have demanded N100 million ransom.

“The family spoke with him and he seemed to have assured them that he is safe. None of the five persons abducted including his son, have been released.

“They are still in the captivity of their abductors. From what they demanded, we are waiting to see whether they will come down from tomorrow. I’m on my way to Abuja, the publicity secretary said.”
