Lagos LG chairman d!es two years after his predecessor

The entire Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has been thrown into mourning over the sudden death of their Chairman, Oladotun Olakanle. He died at the age of 54.

A yet-to-be-confirmed report said, Olakanle died in the early hours of Saturday, November 2, 2024, and fact as to the cause of his death is still very sketchy at the moment.

This sad incident will make it the second time a sitting Council Chairman in Onigbongbo LCDA will die in office.

Olakanle’s predecessor, Babatunde Oke, died in office deep into his second term. He died as a result of Covid-19 complications.

His last outing before his death was at the burial party for the late All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr. Adesola Taiwo, Chief Executive Officer of Adefemi Taiwo Hospitals on Thursday, 31 October 2024.
