Former Speaker, Nigerian House of Reps, Ghali Na’Abba, is dead

Former Speaker of Nigerian House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, is dead. He died at the age of 65.

Born on September 27, 1958, the 8th Speaker of the House of Representatives died in Abuja on Wednesday morning.

According to family sources, late Na’Abba battled with ailment for a long time before passing away.

He was once flown abroad for medical treatment and stayed there for some months before he recovered and returned to Nigeria.

Na’Abba attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he studied political science and graduated in 1979.

His early education was at Jakara Primary School, Kano where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1969.

He later attended Rumfa College, Kano for his West African School Certificate and was also at School of Preliminary Studies, Kano, between 1974 and 1976, before gaining admission into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in October 1976.
