Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has filed 35 grounds of appeal at the Supreme Court, seeking nullification of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) delivered on the 6th of September, which upheld the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 election.
In the notice of appeal, Atiku insisted that the tribunal committed a miscarriage of justice in its findings and conclusion in its petition challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s declaration of Tinubu as President.
The notice of appeal is also praying the apex court to set aside the whole findings and conclusions of the Tribunal on the grounds of non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022, and that they did not represent the true picture of the grounds of his petition.
