Oluwafunmilayo, Oluwaseun & Mopelola took after their Dad and became pilots just like him. The three sisters will be making history at the annual Lagos Women Run on November 12th, competing together in the 10km marathon for women.
Oluwafunmilayo Makinde-Marcus a corporate pilot, who specializes in flying private jets, is eagerly anticipating this marathon alongside her sisters: “though I am in aviation, I want to meet and encourage people from other sectors. I want to also learn from them.”
About 18,000 women have registered for this marathon, which is in its 7th edition. “Lagos Women Run is about networking among women who come from different walks of life to share their experience.”
“We have seen women from various professional backgrounds who are passionate about their job, well being and ready to celebrate themselves,” said the Coordinator of the Lagos Women Run, Tayo Popoola.
The winner of the Lagos Women’s Run will be rewarded with a cash prize of N1million. (Transport Day)
