About 24 hours after an All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, informed Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to run for the 2023 presidential election, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State on Tuesday did the same.
Reports have it that Governor Umahi disclosed this to State House correspondents after meeting behind closed doors with Buhari.
The governor disclosed that the president told him to go and consult widely.
Recall that Umahi defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2021.
